Greetings from The Common Ground Educational Foundation! CGEF is a brand-new organization whose mission is to provide the ultimate in labor education. Labor education that is participant driven and gives the participants the tools necessary to take the trade union movement to the next level. Our inaugural conference is African Americans in Union Leadership that will be held February 24-27, 2022 at the Eagle Crest Conference Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan. African Americans in Union Leadership (AAIU) is hosted by Eastern Michigan University in collaboration with CGEF. It will be an educational and organizing experience, bringing together those who lead in building equity and inclusion in labor strongholds, and those engaged today in the struggle for world-class worker’s rights. Common Ground Education Foundation is positioning itself to be a premier promoter and producer of Labor Education and training. As we continue in our venture, we are confident that the sincere dedication, desire, and passion of the men and women who are part of this foundation, and those yet to come, will provide the collective goals and vision of C.G.E.F.
